Welcome to FactsScan! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the FactsScan mobile application (“App”) and any related services provided by FactsScan (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the App.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you affirm that you are at least 18 years old or have the consent of a legal guardian. You agree to comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations while using the App.

The App provides information on food products by analyzing barcodes, ingredients, and nutritional content to help users make informed decisions. The information is for general guidance only and should not be considered medical or professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional for dietary or health-related decisions.

• Accuracy of Information: While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we cannot guarantee the completeness or accuracy of product data. Users should verify product details directly with manufacturers if needed.

• Prohibited Activities:

  You may not:

  • Use the App for unlawful purposes.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App.
  • Upload viruses or malicious code.
  • Exploit the App for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

• Account Creation: Some features may require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information.

• Personalization Data: If you provide preferences (e.g., diet type, allergens), the App will use this information to personalize recommendations.

• Privacy: Your use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy, which governs the collection, use, and storage of personal information.

All content in the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, is the intellectual property of FactsScan or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.

The App may include links or data sourced from third parties. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or practices of third-party content or services. Your interactions with such third parties are at your own risk.

• No Warranty: The App is provided “as is” without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, secure, or continuously available.

• Liability Limitation: To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

You agree to indemnify and hold FactsScan harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time without prior notice for any violation of these Terms or any other reason deemed appropriate.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review the Terms
periodically.

These Terms are governed by and construed by the laws of Jurisdiction of company. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of company.

To maintain fairness and prevent misuse of the FactsScan Rewards System, the following daily earning rules apply:

1. Product Scan

• Users may scan unlimited products within the app.
• Reward points will be granted only for the first 100 unique product scans per day.
• Scanning the same product again on the same or different days will not earn additional points.
• Only unique product scans are eligible for daily points.

2. Product Review

• Users may submit up to 25 product reviews per day.
• Reward points will be awarded for a maximum of 10 approved reviews per day.
• Reviews are approved based on verification and authenticity checks by the FactsScan team.
• The daily maximum points that can be earned from product reviews is 30 points.
• Rejected, duplicated, or low-quality reviews will not earn points.

3. Add Product

• Users may add unlimited products to the database.
• There is no daily limit on product uploads.
• Only valid, complete, and original product entries may qualify for rewards as per app policy (if applicable).

4. App Referral

• Users may refer an unlimited number of people.
• There is no daily limit on earning points through referrals, subject to successful sign-ups as defined in the app’s referral policy.
